This domestic property in Merton proved to be more challenging than expected. We mobilised to the job believing the soils to be a dry and stable clay. However, upon our arrival it became apparent that the clay was heavily saturated due to a nearby failed Thames Water Service.

Fortunately, due to our experienced inhouse design team, as well as our highly skilled site staff, we were able to come up with a quick solution which overcame the practicality issues and limited the extra costs to both ourselves and our client

The project consisted of 22 No. 300mm diameter load bearing piles, which had lengths ranging from 6.5-11.0 metres. These were masterfully installed using one of our Mini-Rigs (Cobra T15), which are ideal for small domestic projects.
