This challenging project was to construct a new build dwelling complete with a single storey basement. All within the rear garden of an existing residential property, in the heart of Surbiton, Surrey. Given the large civil engineering task and the extremely limited access, this was a perfect project for Piled Solutions Ltd.

This development required the use of our specialist in house geotechnical design team to provide a practical and cost effective piled solution. Further complications were provided due to the close proximity of the River Thames, as well as a number of services (including a Thames Water Sewer) running beneath the proposed property footprint.

Fortunately, we were able to come up with an economical solution which ultimately landed us this project and provided the client with a cost effective and practical solution to keep their dream project alive.

Over the course of a week we installed over 90 No. 350mm diameter CFA piles to form a contiguous retaining wall around the perimeter of the proposed new build. All while carefully managing deliveries of both steel and concrete, along with the collection of muck away and pile arisings.
